Born in Winnipeg Manitoba and has lived and worked in B.C for most of her life. Kathleen Menges is an abstract artist and instructor, working in Cold Wax and Oil and Mixed Media.
In 1997 she opened a store front Gallery and Studio, Artistic Revival in Fort Langley, B.C, where she exhibited her work and other artists, until its closing. During this time she did numerous murals and Trompe l’oeils paintings for designers and home owners.
She has traveled to study with renowned instructors in Cold Wax and Oil and Encaustics in the USA, and in Canada. Sculpture and carving have always been in her life but now her focus is on painting and exhibiting.
Kathleen is being represented by Art Works Gallery in Vancouver B.C. and has been represented by The Pencil Studio in Fort Langley. She is a member of the Fraser Valley Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists and sits on the board as Vice President and has sat as membership chair.
She exhibits her works annually in Solo and group Exhibitions. In addition to her own studio practices, Kathleen teaches workshop in Cold Wax and Oil, focusing on creative expression in Abstract.
